Carol the International Judge

GREAT NEWS - Carol now has her Group 7 - Non Sporting dogs licence.

In the 20+ years I have had my licence I have been fortunate to have judged Weimaraner Specialty shows in NSW, SA, England & the USA. I have judged Gundog specialty shows  in 2 states of Australia and New Zealand, All breeds shows in most states and other specialty breed shows.  The highlight of my judging was being asked to judge the Top 20 competition at the Weimaraner National Specialty show in 2004, see pictures below. This was an evenng I will always remember.
My journey to England was also one I will never forget. The North of England Weimaraner Society held a wonderful show with a record entry of 186, an all time record.  The club was very generous and looked after me for 3 days. I only judged the bitches but there were many more bitches than dogs and it was a full days work. The quality of the bitches was excellent and they were very sound. After leaving England my friend Sharon and I toured through Europe and Hong Kong before going home.

In 2010, I was asked to judge in Hungary in a town called Debrecen. My friend Jeanene came with me.
We did not fly straight to Budapest we went via Dubai and Paris. In Budapest we were met by a taxi who drove us the 2.5 hours to Debrecen which was a lovely town set around corn fields. It was a huge FCI show and many European judges officiated. We were looked after like royalty and the judging was amazing. I judged Best in Show the second day and it was an experience I will never forget. The Hungarian people certainly know how to look after their guests. I made many friends and hope to return again in 2013.
